Creating a Safe Space for Healing.

About Me
I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University anticipated graduation date May 2020. Before attending Richmont, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta. I chose to study marriage and family therapy because I have always had a passion to contribute to the edifying of individuals, couples and families while creating a safe place for them to explore their journey of healing and restoration. Being able to provide counseling services that contribute to their total well-being while cultivating an atmosphere of dignity and respect encourages ownership the change they each desire.
My approach to counseling with adults, individuals, couples, and families is interpersonal and systemic. What that means is I walk alongside you on your journey understanding that our experiences, relationships, and families impact our current state of being. I also incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Gottman couples therapy, and myriad of other techniques proven by research statistically based data that shows they work. I'm also a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator.
When it comes to integration, I am a follower of Jesus Christ but you don't have to be. As your counselor, I am trained to integrate as much or as little of your faith/spirituality as you would like. I welcome you as you are.
